Customer Review: For those of you who have never seen The Big Country you are in for a treat. This film is the opposite of what has unfortunately become a trend nowadays: A lot of special effects and very little acting. You will not find any bells and whistles in the movie just great acting by some of the best... more info
Customer Review: Rousing moving, but they seem to have copied it from a VCR that was watched 50 times too many. Yul Brenner is a marvel in this movie, even with poor quality color and definition.
Customer Review: This is a Hollywood version of real events that took place during the Vicksburg Campaign in 1863. While there is a lot of Hollywood flair, the events of the raid and the impact on the fall of Vicksburg are well documented. All in all it is quite enjoyable and great for a rainy afternoon.
Customer Review: It was enjoyable to watch this 1962 movie about Merrill's Marauders starring Jeff Chandler and so many familiar faces from that time. Customer Review: Would you believe there was time I thought Burt Reynolds was a good actor (Sharkey's Machine)? But even in "Deliverance" I didn't think he was that great. I just keep seeing him as "The Bandit" driving around, making an a** of himself, while being chased by Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason). I also... more info
Customer Review: A great retro 70's horror movie, special effects a little cheesy but an interesting story. Tim Donnelly was good in this role - felt very sorry for his character!
Customer Review: I love this film. It's entertaining as it can be but historically it is way off the mark. The lyrics of one of song goes as follows: "...let the legend grow and grow....'bout those thirteen days of glory at the siege of Alamo..." I think this demonstrates Wayne's philosophy..."let the LEGEND grow... more info
