Customer Review: Gwyneth Paltrow does a most excellent portrayal of Emma in the movie of the same name. I love this movie so much I bought a copy to give as a gift to friends. I highly recommend it for those who like Jane Austen movies.
Customer Review: This complex tale follows a magical violin from its tragic creation in 18th century Italy to its sale at a contemporary auction house in Montreal. Like any good movie, it requires the willing suspension of disbelief which for me was easy enough to do with the exception of Samuel L. Jackson playing... more info
Customer Review: The film is quite epic as it's filmed in the UK, Venice and Morocco and there are so many beautiful locations indoor and outdoor, "Brideshead Revisited" is rather ambitious. Each person is cast pretty well with Matthew Goode, having to use less dialogue and reading his emotions through his facial... more info
Customer Review: The main character couldn't act and the script was so poor that I never really figured out what the plot was until the end. Gwendolyn was egotistical and selfish and then later- pathetic and needy. Daniel just wandered around lost the whole time. Mirah was a weak character...

He was so excited about it, he wouldn't give us info to help him find it, as he wanted it to be a surprise. To give him credit, he was... more info
Customer Review: This is one of Robert Altman's best films, and quite possibly the greatest, and most venomous, satire about Hollywood ever. Tim Robbins is delectably acerbic as the charismatic, though morally-bankrupt lead. Greta Scacchi, and Whoopi Goldberg are also excellent in this film. THE PLAYER is by turns,... more info
Customer Review: "Presumed Innocent" is one of the late Alan Pakula's lesser-known gems... after all,he did "All the President's Men" about Watergate and "Klute" with Jane Fonda as a prostitute/detective. Based on a legal thriller by Scott Turow,it is a skillful whodunit. Harrison Ford stars as a lawyer, Rusty,... more info
Customer Review: This is a perfect history and biography of a handcrafted violin; with all it's many contacts with the different people who entered its life. Superbly acted and filmed with an original score. A wonderful escape into a world very rarely glimpsed by the average human.
