Customer Review: I am not pretending that this is a revelatory review but I would like to add one thought to the appraisal of this work. It is simply this--if your last and enjoyable experience with Iron and Wine was "Our Endless Numbered Days" this attempt at artistic growth is uneven, over-produced, and too far... more info
Customer Review: I love the music of Iron and Wine and they don't disappoint me in this album. The words, melodies and harmonies are brilliant...a bit of a Simon and Garfunkel influence jumps out at you. Iron and Wine, Arrica Rose and Cat Power are my top listening choices.
Customer Review: You already know the album - all those songs you never cared to listen to on the one side, and the ultimate EP heavy rock classic on the other - the first record side you totally wore out in college. You can't get that on iTunes - all they offer is the short radio cut and the very lame, overly long... more info

Customer Review: I'm not writing this as a practical, useful review, instead I just want to let the world know that for me this CD is a religious experience! Very few works of art in this world can bring one to both laughter and tears; for me this CD is an artist representation of human life in all its experience,... more info
Customer Review: From the blasting intro in "Invaders" to the powerful epic "Hallowed be they Name" this album never lets up. This is one of those albums that you don't really even have to be a metalhead to appriciate. The songwriting, musicianship, and sheer energy are all amazing.

Customer Review: At this point in there career, after three excellent albums,Iron Maiden began to fully form there sound.

Customer Review: Two of my favorite artists over the last few years have been Sam beam's Iron and Wine and the Tucson, AZ band Calexico. On IN THE REINS they team up to make some great music that dovetails the strengths of the two artists, while covering their weaker aspects. Calexico has made some breathtaking... more info
Customer Review: I remember how much my friends and I used to listen to this album when we were in High School. I have not heard it in the twenty years since. I recently bought this album and now I am once again addicted! This album rocks from start to finish. It is absolutely my favorite metal album of all time!
Customer Review: One of my favorite CD's ever. You definitely have to be in a certain mood for Iron and Wine, but when that mood hits, this is the go-to album.
