Customer Review: Music has always been a part of Walt Disney cartoons, going way back to Steamboat Mickey in 1928! But Disney never seemed to acknowledge jazz until now. The studio's newest feature film, The Princess and the Frog, has New Orleans jazz all over it! From the jazz based score by Randy Newman, and a... more info
Customer Review: The CD came very quickly and my son(2 yrs old), being a huge fan of the movie, LOVES it. He would listen to it most of the day and I actually like many of the songs too. The case did come broken, that is the only reason it didn't get 5 stars.
Customer Review: This is a fantastic collection for first time listeners of Randy Newman. It offers some of his best works of satire, ballads and up-tempo songs, capturing the versatility of his songwriting. Randy has also provided comments on each of the songs in the liner-notes, making it a great supplement to... more info

Then about 1978, I had the opportunity to go to a Randy Newman concert held at the San Diego State Open Air Theater. Well, it turned out... more info
Customer Review: While some of the selections are Ok, the themes from "The Big Country", "The Alamo", "The Cowboys", "The Magnificent Seven", "Silverado" etc are terrific. Orchestration is wonderful. I highly recommend.
