Customer Review: I really like this album - Ringo has got some great songs on here and it is fun - I think it's his best since RINGO in 1973! I hope he does a few songs from it on the 2010 tour with the All Starr Band.
Customer Review: I have compilation CDs by John, Paul and George, so I figured I'd get this one by Ringo to complete my collection. The only thing I had by Ringo was a few 45's. I wasn't that familiar with Ringo's solo work beyond the seventies, so most of the songs on this album, I'd never heard before. My... more info
Customer Review: Thirty minutes of dazzling studio brilliance - and the first Beatle album comprised entirely of Lennon-McCartney originals. "A Hard Day's Night" runs the gamut from smash hits ("Can't Buy Me Love") to fiery rockers ("You Can't Do That") and haunting ballads ("And I Love Her"). The title song's... more info
Customer Review: I agree that this is Ringo's best solo album. With John helping on one track, Paul helping on another (actually providing their own compositions), George helping on much of it (and providing one of his own songs along with co-writing "Photograph"), it's as close to a Beatles reunion album we have... more info
Customer Review: "I grew up with THE BEATLES." Those of you who did not, simply cannot--nor will you ever--understand all the magic, wonder and amazement that simple sentence implies. It was like hearing, watching, and feeling your heart come alive each time these four, magical musicians, took instruments in hand,... more info
Customer Review: First off, don't waste your money on paying extra for the CD/DVD combo, just buy the CD. Second, the CD is a decent compilation of Ringo's work. I bought it mostly for completeness; I own a lot of Beatles CDs, plus own some of John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney post-Beatles... more info
Customer Review: No doubt this is one of the Ringo's best albums in the recent years.
The duet with the super countervoice of Paul Mccartney and the blues with Joss Stone are the highlights.
The superb other side of Liverpool follows the wonderful Liverpool 8 in search of memories of the old days.... more info
Customer Review: Liverpool 8 being Ringo Starr's 14th studio album and 2005 release and is straight forward rock album. Liverpool being the first track is an homage to his Beatles past and talks about all the places they played but on the whole the track itself is very mediocre and could have been much better. The... more info
Customer Review: This is Ringo Starrs' first LP in 1976 when he and the other three Fabs become free agents and were no longer bound to record and release their new music for Capitol/Apple.It contains some great tunes, as once again he seeks out a little help from his friends. Track 1, A Dose of Rock n'Roll features... more info
Customer Review: I've always loved the Beatles. And Ringo didn't let me down with this audio CD. The songs are great and the sound is fantastic! He really filled my room with some great music. I hope this 5.1 surround sound for music catches on with everybody else.
