Customer Review: As a guitar player and long time blues/rock enthusiast I am quite impressed with this album. The songs are soulful and the lyrics meaningful. Susan's guitar playing has grown nicely and her tone on that semi-hollow electric is beautiful. It is refreshing to see/hear a woman who isn't afraid to be... more info
Customer Review: Ms. Tedeschi has a sweet soulful sound with an undertow, so watch out. It will suck you in and take you down. The kind of gospel that will make you say "Sweet Jesus, I didn't know it could be like this". As a matter of fact, I'll be singing Protect My Child on Sunday in the Sanctuary. JK! Customer Review: Susan belongs in the holy trinity: Etta James, Janis Joplin, and Susan Tedeschi. She's THAT good. Moving and powerful music. All the fakers *cough Nora Jones cough* should be shamed by this into giving up all together. This is the real deal.
Customer Review: When I couldn't find the Susan Tedeschi latest release on BMG I found it quickly at Amazon...and received it within two days! What a talented young lady this is! I've been a fan since I first heard her at 19 years old singing like she'd lived a lifetime of blues.
Customer Review: This is one of the best female blues records you will ever here. The band is incredible; the girl is an angel!!! Wonderful soul that reaks of Al Green, as well as, good old funky blues and vocal showcase songs!! BUY THIS RECORD!!! YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!!

So, it's not very good quality recording, mix, etc. If you like blues, this is good early work by Susan, but a CD best left to her avid fans. All the later CDs are regular comercial... more info
Customer Review: The first cd is a bit to slow for me. It just doesn't grab my interest. I'm not really a big fan of acoustic guitar. I think Susan Tedeschi, Cry of Love & Govt Mule really make this CD what it is. Oh, and if you're a Derek Trucks fan, (I'm not) then you'll like it better then I do. If not for... more info
