Great Book:

This is definitely a great book to have just in case you ever need to survive in an SHTF situation. Very well written and provides guidance for almost any situation where survival skills would be needed. I learned a lot just from paging through it. A definite must for any bug out bag or car glove box.

Great but not perfect:

This is a great but not perfect survival guide. Read Mr. Driscoll's review I did and checked out his statements and found Mr Driscoll to be correct. However this is one of the best all around guides I have read. So far I have 10 wilderness survival guides in my library but this is about the best. If you can't attend a school with instructors to teach you, get some specialized instruction books. Love this!:

I bought this for my 11 year old son along with other outdoor, adventure books. This is his favorite. Not sure I fully understand, but he has a bucket of water and a fish-catching contraption that he made based on this book. We need to get him to a river to try it out. Great book!
