Disappointing to Carmindy fans: 
As a fan of Carmindy's segment on "What Not to Wear", I was disappointed that this book did not follow the show's successful format. What is so appealling about Carmindy's WNTW segments is taking ducklings (real women) and turning them into swans. This book features only flawless high fashion models getting different styles of makeup. For instance when the text is discussing how to cover up under eye circles, the photos show a flawless 20-something model with no hint of under eye circles. Ditto the section...

I thought this book was great. She gives good advice and lots of application tips. She also has a list of recommended products for different price ranges. This book has really helped me with my morning routine!

I was thrilled to find Carmindy had published a book on how to do the Five Minute Face, from her segment on What Not to Wear. I've been a devotee of hers, and the show's, for years, and always secretly wondered if it was as easy as she made it appear.

Make up: 
Really just another make up book. Her "trick" is highlighting the face. Good pics and clear language but nothing to launch a thousand ships.
