What you're holding in your hands is a very funny and sometimes poignant look at fathers. It's filled with stories of what it's been like as a dad and a son, from a child's first day of kindergarten to the awkward sex talk, right up to the day the always practical dad tries to pay for college with bonus miles.

While bookstores are filled with tales of mothers, their children, and families, there are so few from the dad's side. Now, as a public service, I'm doing my part to right this wrong.

Tales from the Dad Side: Misadventures in Fatherhood is difficult for me to read - it seems incoherent and jumpy. It is humorous and practical. Too bad that it is not well organized.

Proud dad:

Steve is always entertaining on Fox and Friends, but this gives a more human aspect of his experiences as a son and a proud dad. Enjoyed reading.

book Review:

This book was chosen by my book club-all women. It was an enjoyable read. Funny, easy to identify with & we all agreed that our husbands would enjoy reading it as well. Nice short chapters- which men seem to prefer. I highly recommend it.

Well-Written, Laugh Out Loud, Tender Lessons in Fatherhood:

I loved this book. Steve Doocy cleverly combines his own life story as a kid with similar stories with his own kids as a Dad. The result is a well-written, funny, tender look at fatherhood from the guy's point of view. As a writer for new moms, I particularly like Doocy's honesty and explanations as to why fathers do and see things a bit differently from moms.
