Just like all the Charlie Bone books before this, they are fantastic! We have read them all as a family & the adults love them just as much as the kids! Looking forward to more!

not just for children:

A Charlie Bone book was for sale at my son's book fair. I read the first one and fell in love with it. I've read all the books in series and recommend them for all ages.

Great Book!:

This book is somewhat different from the others...:

The other books in the Charlie Bone series are mostly self contained. It is certainly better to read them in order, certainly, but each book had its own plot which was always resolved in that book, while at the same time a larger series spanning plot was moving forward..
Not so, this one. This one reads more like a set up to the (word has it) final volume in the Charlie Bone series. One gets the impression that this was not Nimmo's original intention. Without spoiling the plot it seems that the... more info
