Keep those white spatulas white! Use this "redhead" from OXO to stir your tomato-based sauce right in the pan. Confidentially, the spatula head is just the right shape for taste testing your sauce too.
This is no ordinary spatula--the bright red head tells you that immediately. Use it to stir up a pot of spaghetti sauce, and the spatula won't discolor. It's heat-resistant up to 400 degrees--great for long, slow stirring--so no fears of it melting or warping. You can also use it for tasting and scraping the walls of your nonstick cookware--it won't damage them.
The Good Grips line features durable, nonslip flexible handles on every product. Ergonomically designed to fit the palm comfortably and softly, the pressure-absorbing processed rubber handle puts less tension on the hands, while providing an outstanding grip. Made from the same material as dishwasher gaskets, the handles are slip-proof, wet or dry, as well as dishwasher-safe. Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. --Laurie Notaro

Great Spatula, Stirrer, Spoon, etc.:
This spoon spatula is the first utensil I reach for when I'm cooking--no matter what I'm cooking. I have this in red and white. I actually think the white has become a little stained, the red hasn't. I have had no problem with the handle bending or breaking, and I like the fact that it doesn't move around in my hand. I can get around the entire bowl in one stroke. It really stays with the form of the bowl or pan.
Oxo Good Grips Spatula:
It is very comfortable in my hand and does not stain from red sauces. I like it very much
Quality problems:
I purchased a few of these for myself and friends. From the day I got my spoon spatula it was my favorite kitchen tool, especially since I could use it when making sauces or frying onions and veggies. One day when making a non-meat tomato sauce the handle simply broke off leaving the handle in my hand and the spatula in the pot. I wrote to OXO about this twice in the last 2 months with no reply and this is most frustrating to me. Anyway, I am now using a KitchenAid product which feels much more sturdy and... more info
OXO Good not so good this time:
the spoon is great but the handle bends like a noodle.
