The Brita Atlantis Pitcher provides great tasting, healthy water in a sleek, space-saving design, with a flip top lid for your convenience. The Atlantis Pitcher uses the OB03 Brita replacement cartridge and holds 6, 8 ounce glasses of filtered water. The filter will reduce chlorine taste & odor and sediment as well as leaving a healthy amount of Fluoride to promote strong teeth. Each filter will filter 40 gallons of water and needs to be replaced an average of ever 2 months. Pitcher holds up to six 8-ounce glasses of filtered water. This pitcher combines Brita's reliable filtering with a very convenient narrow shape and flip-top lid for easy refills. To operate, simply flip the lid and fill the water reservoir, then wait a couple of minutes for it to filter through. The filter used with this system has been certified by NSF International, a testing authority for water filtration products, and reduces copper and eliminates 99% of lead in tap water. Using activated carbon as well as an ion exchange resin, it also reduces chlorine, bad tastes, odors, and sediment--making it a lot easier to drinkthe recommended eight glasses of water a day. Good Pitcher for the price:
Have been using this Brita pitcher for several months now and has been working good. I had one problem with a filter lasting not as long as the 3 month is describes. Besides that it filters the water great and has a great taste. Would definitely recommend over ever buying any bottled water again.
Basic pitcher with a replaceable filter.:
It's hard to move it when you fill it at first or it will leak all over. You have to change the filter every six months, which goes by before you know it. I noticed sometimes there are little black rocks floating around which disturbed me. Otherwise for the price it's a basic pitcher.
Weak:
Overall an OK product. But the lid broke in no time. And the filter lets too many of that black filtration material through.
Good Brita product after a bad one:
I previously reviewed here the Brita 42364 SpaceSaver Pitcher. It had a problem with a lid that would not stay on. We stayed with that pitcher for two months to see if it was tolerable. Nope. We ended up retiring the bad one to the garage to pour random liquids. This one does what we need...and the lid stays on. The one feature the bad pitcher has that this one does not is the filter replacement dial reminder in the lid.
