The Isobar is a much better built alternative to the run-of-the-mill powerstips available at most electronics stores. Not only is it a very good surge protector, but it will also help filter and isolate your components which can sometimes help performance. tripp lite surge protector:
Tripp lite has a great warranty, we purchased one, got struck by lightening. It saved my computer equipment, but burnt the protector. Tripp lite replaced it free of charge. I've had others on other electronic equipment in the house that have not lasted or protected as well. I'll buy tripp lite after this for all my valuable equipment.
