This state of the art coffeemaker lets you fine tune the process from filtering the water you brew with to keeping the brewed coffee at the precise temperature you desire. If you're the impatient type you can grab a cup before brewing is complete (or program your coffee to be ready and waiting at wake up time), and if you tend to be forgetful, this appliance has auto shut off. Seems as though Cuisinart has covered all the bases in this deluxe coffeemaker.
Strikingly retro in brushed stainless-steel with black-plastic accents, this 12-cup coffeemaker includes Cuisinart's best brewing technology and premium features for ease and flexibility. The digital clock/timer is programmable for automatically brewing "wake-up" coffee at a selected time and for turning off the warming plate up to four hours in advance. Removing the glass carafe from the warming plate automatically pauses the brewing process for a quick pour, and the warming plate's temperature can be adjusted. For maximum flavor, the machine can be set to brew one to four 5-ounce cups or five to twelve cups, and it includes a charcoal water filter. For convenience, a permanent Gold Tone filter eliminates messy paper filters and an indicator-light shows when decalcification is needed. The coffeemaker measures 14-1/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 10-3/4 inches deep (including carafe handle) and carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

I Loved it -- untill it died:
After going thru so many coffee makers over the years I saw this one 5 1/2 years ago and had to buy it. I figured with the Cuisinart name this beauty would be worth the money and more than just a "pretty face". It was more money than I have ever spent on a coffee maker but I loved the look of it so I went for it. Now after 5 1/2 years it stopped working! For the price and the "built like a tank" construction I am dissapointed it didn't last longer. Am I asking too much? I just would have expected 10 years... more info
Sturdy. Easy to Use. No spills.:
I've had this coffee maker for a couple weeks and am happy with it. PROS:
* No spills. I have no problem filling the tank or pouring coffee. You have to be able to flip the lid all the way up and lean in close to the machine. The target for filling the tank is small.
* No burns. The steam when pouring the coffee isn't directed toward the handle, as it was on a prior (horrible) coffee maker.
* Very nice looking machine. The chrome shows finger prints, so the stainless may have been a... more info
Great Coffee Maker, but.....:
I love this coffee maker! I did extensive research, both on Amazon and an independent consumer site before making this purchase. I've owned a Cuisinart in the past, so that helped make my decision. Many of the issues that were cited in previous reviews were addressed in the manual. I have to say that the manual is very comprehensive. The machine makes great strong (as I like it!) hot coffee. It is very easy to clean, program and work, and fits compactly under a cabinet (thank you to the reviewer who... more info
Best Coffee Maker, Cuisinart:
Best Coffee Maker, coffee brews quickley and tastes better than coffee house brews. Auto shut off is great for busy families. You can also set timer and coffee is ready before you get out of bed. Highly recommend this unit. This is our second one, first unit lasted 8 years before it quit working. Can't beat the price either! Love It...!
