I bought this because help hit a tree or somthing with the last one I had for years. It removes twice the shingles as a basic roofing spade. The adjustable head angle is a back saver to match the roof pitch. Keep a basic roofing spade for ridge cap and small places.

Review given by my husband. The tool is too heavy to rate at 5, but it gets a 4 1/2. Removes shingles much easier than a standard tear off rake. Other shinglers were also very impressed with it. Would recommend it to anyone!
Ultimate Roof Removal Tool:
The Malco shingle beast is just what it says. It is a beast that loves to eat shingles and nails. I used a compairable item from the local hardware store for more money and threw it away. The shingle beast with fiberglass handle it the only way to go for fast and heavy shingle removal. Great tool I will used over and over.
