DVD and Satellite Receivers use high performance connections like S-Video, Component Video, and Dolby Digital Surround Audio. Using high quality connections is more important than ever, to get the most out of these technologies. That's why THX, the industry leader in sound quality certification for movie theatres (you've probably seen the famous THX logo in movie theatres and on DVDs), collaborated together with Monster Cable, to create connection standards specifically for home theater. The cables that come in the box don't meet Monster THX standards. Some of the connections you need don't even come in the box, including S-Video, Component Video, and Digital Audio for Surround Sound.Although Monster Standard THX cable doesn't feature many of the advanced technologies found in Monster Cable's higher performance product lines, it still packs plenty of Monsterous features: higher quality gold tip connections, user-friendly features like color-coded connectors and ID labels for easy, error-free hookup, plus increased powerhandling of speaker cables to deliver the full dynamic range of explosions and crashes found in today's movies. And dig the stylish, futuristic connector design inspired by Lucasfilm's Star Wars epics.

Good product! Better Price!:
Needed a good cable run behind the wall, works great, no problems yet. Cost too much anywhere else.
Beautiful picture quality!:
I got these component cables to upgrade my A/V system upon the arrival of my brand new 37" Sharp Aquos and I must say that they are very well worth the price tag. The image difference in my DVD player went from washed out and faded (using composite) to a vivid array of colors and improved contrast. The cables are very sturdy and the connectors are color coded and ergonomically designed for comfortable gripping while connecting them to your TV and receiver or output device. Monster quality is real and I... more info
TERRIBLE FIT:
The connectors on these cables are WAY TOO THICK!!! They really don't fit on the component jacks on my BRAND NEW SAMSUNG LCD TV OR my DVD player! I had to force them on, it made horrific crunching sounds, and I probably damaged my equipment from pushing so hard on the jacks and spreading them apart because of the girth of these things. As you can see in the above pic, they can't fit side by side, so the jacks are forced to spread apart. I have really never been so angry, and I feel like suing monster. Oh... more info
nice looking, good quality:
Monster cables always have nice looking, usually more expensive, but this one has resonable price, quality/price rate is good.
