Dead battery and no range:
It was handy but very difficult to find the range and angle for the camera to fire. The battery only lasted 2 days. Very frustrating item.
Wireless Remote Control makes Long-Exposure Pictures Perfect:
This convenient little device was perfect for taking long-exposure pictures with a camera mounted on a tripod. I highly recommend it. It's case slips over your camera strap for added convenience. Inexpensive and the ideal accessory!

This remote works on line of sight, which has a couple of disadvantages. The sensor on the camera is on the front, so you can't easily use it to trigger photos by remote unless you're in the picture also (unless you're really sneaky). My camera (D40) has two remote modes, instant and 2-second delay so you can click and then hide the remote from the camera's view. Nice.
