Naturally you want the heating advantages of anodized aluminum, and you want easy clean up, of course this cookware ahould be not only durable but also affordable. Calphalon's newest offering, Simply Calphalon, makes all this possible. You'll use this saucepan for a wide variety of tasks, from cooking a small amount of rice, to making cream sauces, to reheating soup.
A midweight, midpriced alternative to Calphalon's Professional and Commercial Nonstick cookware, the Simply Calphalon line is made of hard-anodized aluminum for scratch-resistance and quick, uniform heating. It's harder than steel and won't chip, crack, or peel. Inside, the cookware is coated with nonstick material for low-fat (or nonfat) cooking and easy food release. Handles are made of contemporary satin-finish stainless steel and stay cool on the stovetop. The handle on this straight-sided, 1-quart saucepan is a long loop that has been rounded outside and bent inward at the bottom edges to fit the hand comfortably. The pan's lid has a similar handle and is made of brushed stainless steel. Inside, the pan's bottom has a rounded perimeter for stirring ease. Oven-safe to 375 degrees F, the pan is safe with nylon, wood, and plastic utensils and should be hand washed to preserve the nonstick. --Fred Brack

Nice:
Great product, great price, only drawback is it could use a better cover. Need a hotpad handy to remove the lid, gets VERY hot!
calphalon pot:
I love all of the calphalon products. This one, recently purchased meets my expectations in every way.
Simply Calphalon Nonstick Aluminum 2-Quart Saucepan with Cover:
All the Simply Calphalon products are excellent in design and quality of materials. The only thing we don't like is you can't put them in the dishwasher since that will damage the anodized outer finish. However, it's very easy to clean the saucepan after use, so this is not a reason to look elsewhere. Note: I put a 4 quart saucepan in the dishwasher several times, the finish was discolored, and then I applied olive oil to the finish and let it sit overnight. It seems to have worked. If you have the same... more info
Not so much.:
Compared to my other Calphalon pans, this one is a disappointment. It will do, but I would not buy another in this series. It is much lighter weight and the handle...which many other people have mentioned and I thought was probably a minor deal...is unpleasant to touch. I find myself leaving this pan sit and reaching for others instead. I wouldn't recommend it.
