Works, but not with every channel or program:
Sound was more even with this item, but it wasn't consistent from channel to channel. Still had to use the volume on the remote to adjust sound. Returned item.
Terk VR1 TV volume controller:
The controller seems to work well for RCA connections, but has no ports for HDMI connections. I think it has helped, but without the HDMI ports, it is only partially effective.
TV VOLUME CONTROL:
If you are sick and tired of the TV volume going to double the volume when they switch from your program to commercials, then you need this product. I have now installed one on two of our TV's and it does a great job of maintaining a spteady volume all the time. I highly recommend this item to anyone. It is simple to install and comes with power supply and all cables needed.

The Terk VR1 Automatic TV Volumne Controller is a wonderful product. No more loud commercials. You just turn it on & set the volume you are comfortable with & the Terk keeps everything at that volume. It works great.
