The (passive) noise reduction works very well. [Noise Canceling usually means an electronic system, which this is NOT.] Wearing these, I can barely hear the lawn mower or circular saw; it is useful to be able to hear them just enough to know they are working correctly. It's true these really are good!:
I've had these for over 20 years now. Bought them when I was working a compactor, and continue to use them for everything. They are very comfortable, block the noise, and have held up really well. If I don't loose them, they will probably be good for another 20 years.
Good for the money!:
Kind of bulky for running around behind the mower, but not bad. Comfy, can wear for long periods of time, pretty good noise protection. Very hot, but that's to be expected. NOTE these are not noise canceling!! Noise canceling implies a different type of technology that is not used with these earmuffs.

I have used several different brands and types of noise reducing products for my carpentry and lawncare hobbies, but by far, the Peltro H10A Professional Noise Canceling Earmuff blocks the most noise and are the most comfortable to wear. I highly recommend this product.
