Ordered a drill received a blower. Called Amazon was told to call Makita. Mikita said it was Amazon's fault, send blower back (my cost) MaMakita 6217DWDE 12-volt NiMH 3/8-inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kitkita will send me a drill (my cost). I bought this drill to replace a very old Makita 9.6. I have used it for several months on a number of projects. So far I have been completely satisfied.
Made in USA:
Just got it a couple of weeks ago. So far no problems. I got the model with the light which runs on the same battery as the drill. The light cover needs to be screwed on tightly to work properly. Best feature: the only cordless drill I could find actually made in the USA. Even if it was made in Japan as some of their models are, I'd rather give them my money than companies that ignore their conscience and give their business to China.
