Excellent drill for the price, but be careful with some things...:
After six years of heavy use, this drill would have been still going strong if it wasn't for a few things. First, never, ever, tighten the chuck down with one hand, like you can with one-sleeve chucks. A co-worker of mine borrowed this drill and tried doing so, repeatedly, and the chuck made horrible grinding noises as the rear sleeve and the front sleeve worked against each other. The chuck doesn't grip well anymore. It loosens up repeatedly in the middle of easy drilling through 2x4s. But for... more info

Ordered a drill received a blower. Called Amazon was told to call Makita. Mikita said it was Amazon's fault, send blower back (my cost) MaMakita 6217DWDE 12-volt NiMH 3/8-inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kitkita will send me a drill (my cost).
