By pulling on the trigger in the comfortable upright handle, this deep cleaner releases the included carpet/upholstery cleaner and hot tap water. For more stubborn stains or for high-traffic areas, this SteamVac also has a Clean Surge feature, which sends an extra blast of cleaning solution into the stain by simply pressing a button on the handle. Excellent Product:

I have never written a review for Amazon, but I am an avid reader of them. I am searching for a steam mop of some sort and came across this product, which I already have. Because these reviews have been so helpful to me, I wanted to hopefully leave a helpful review for another. This product is amazing. We have white carpets and two kids...not a good combination, but this thing is amazing. 3rd hoover:

3rd Hoover and we'll buy another. We use it on a pretty regular basis with 3 boys a dog and a cat to the point where it wears out. It doesn't wear out due to quality of construction but due to heavy use.
Amazon is by far the best price. Don't look elsewhere.

Very impressed:

The machine setup was simple and quick and required just a phillips screwdriver. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. I did just one room this afternoon and was blown away by the amount of dirt this machine suck out my carpet. Machine clean up was fairly simple. Hoover did a great job on this machine.

Best retail carpet cleaner I've used:

I'm always apprehensive of carpet cleaners that you buy, rather than rent. Those red, box-looking cleaners do the best job, but I'm sure they're $800 if you want to buy one. You just can't beat the suction they provide.
This one is a close second, though. I really like the following:
1. Lots of brushes that scrub the carpet thoroughly - you can see them spinning!
2. Good vaccuum pump that sucks up the majority of the water, leaving the carpet only slightly damp afterwards.
