For PlayStation 2 console model numbers SCPH-30001 and SCPH-35001, you will need a copy of the DVD remote control software disc and a Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation® 2). If you already own the IR receiver (and software disc where necessary), the ?Open/Close' and ?Reset' buttons on the remote will not function.

PS2 DVD Remote Controller:
I purchased this for my husband since he needed this to set the other remote up. It is good to have in case the ONE remote that is used for everything breaks or gets lost. I think it was a good price and the delivery was pretty fast.

This thing is great. It works with the built in IR reciever in the PS2. It makes watching movies a breeze without having to get up to use the regular controller. Great item. Should have gotten one a long time ago.
Works Great & Makes Life Easier!! (if you have newer ps2):
I love this remote. It has made playing my games and watching my dvd's alot easier on my ps2. It works great on my ps2 as my console is the newer model. It does not work on the older ones just the newer ones. Great buy! Very Happy!
