Classically styled but equipped with all the modern features, the Uniden Bearcat PC68 Elite CB radio is a must for truckers, boaters, and other CB enthusiasts. The radio is housed in a stylish silver chassis with backlit chrome control knobs--an enduring look that's sure to satisfy longtime CB fans. More importantly, the radio operates on any of the 40 AM frequencies authorized by the FCC, while also picking up seven NOAA weather channels. For good measure, it even includes an alarm that sounds when a severe weather storm is forecast.
Perhaps the PC68 Elite's most satisfying feature, however, is Uniden's dynamic squelch control, which delivers a clear signal with less noise so that all your channels sound crisp and legible. The squelch control even reduces noise when the CB user on the other end doesn't have it, an advantage that few other squelch enhancers enjoy. The front-positioned microphone, meanwhile, is easy to access and comfortable to hold thanks to its ergonomic pistol grip.

Good features.: 
Having a built-in weather radio is a great feature to have. I'm an avid outdoorsman & being able to keep abreast of developing weather conditions from you car is invaluable. Also, the radio has an automatic squelch control with the option to turn it off & go manual. The display is easy to read & has 2 illumination levels that are effective in most lighting situations. The sound quality is good even if you decide to mount the unit on the top of the dash (speaker grill holes on bottom of unit)....

Uniden Bearcat CB: 
Product looks very nice in my pickup. It functions just as well. I tested it today and able to converse with a friend over about 5 miles. I have owned nothing but Cobra's prior to this but I think that will change.
