better charger:
after searching in several stores for a new charger i was able to get the one i have now from amazon on line under batteries and chargers found it was almost half the price from anywhere else i have had the ps1mvc 8.4 Volt to 14.4 volt seems to charge the batteries in about an hour for each one the batteries do need to be charged for more then an hour to get longer working life from them but this one is a good one highly recomend it to anyone who needs a better charger then the one that comes with the... more info
Black & Decker charger:
Would be better if it went up to 18 volts. Make one with different holes to charge at least three of the main brands. Have not gotten to use it much yet, but looking forward to Black and Decker quality.
Finally found the charger I need!:
After searching Menards, Home Depot and Walmart to find a replacement for my Black and Decker PS150 9.6 Volt Battery Charger #418352-00 that completely died on us, I came online and found this charger. Home Depot's website said that they had it at my local store but when I went, they had neither my original charger or this one. So, I came home and ordered this one immediately. A fix at last:
As a homeowner who does most maintenance work myself, I've been a fan of B & D tools for a long time: basic, solid, dependable. That changed with this drill. The original charger was worthless; I resent having to buy an aftermarket product just to make my original investment worthwhile. In a nutshell, that's what this charger does; it works, and I'll use it until the two batteries I bought no longer hold a charge. Score a point for B & D, which got my money again.
