Black and Decker Firestorm battery charger for all PS series black and Decker Batteries EXCEPT 18V batteries. Charges 8.4, 9.6, 12, 13.2, and 14.4 Firestorm Batteries in 1 hour. Will not charge the slide pack batteries, only the Firestorm batteries w/ a stem. Has 4 diagnostic modes to show charging, charged, problem powerline or replace battery. A lot of the 3 hour chargers will quit working because a bad battery pack causes them to fail. That is what makes these so nice. It has a light that will show if your battery is bad or not.
Again: this is for the Firestorm, Quantum pro batteries with a "stem" on them that pops up into the tool. Usually designated by letters PS on the model #, such as PS140 PS130 PS120 etc.

Black & Decker charger - Great item!:
The original equipment charger for my cordless drill & circular saw quit working & the choice was; replace the rechargeable drill w circular saw with a new one or shop for a new charger. Checked out what was available from Amazon.com and found a spectacular deal on a new multi-voltage charger. When it arrived, I charged up both battery packs in a short period of time, and could not have been happier.

Works just as advertised. Wish I had bought it years ago which would have saved a LOT of frustation with the old 24 hour charger that came with the drill.

I have a Black and Desk 14.4 drill, and this charger does work with the ps140 batteries. One of my dead batteries actually charged in less than an hour. Great charger for the price.
