Excellent product!:

I almost couldn't believe how well this product works, especially with it's affordability. It's great any time we need to leave our cat someplace when we travel; we just have a pill given to him before we go home and we know our home will stay flea-free. So Simple! The pills are small. Capstar is not a long-term flea solution, so we also use Program during months where our yard has the possibility of causing infestations. It shipped very quickly after we purchased it off Amazon.

Works well for my cat:

Apparently some cats and dogs respond badly to this medication, but it works wonderfully for my cat.
She weighs just 10 pounds, so I give her half a tablet (I cut them apart in a regular pill cutter) and any fleas she's picked up fall off and die. My vet explained to me that the chemical in Capstar isn't recognized by the animal's body - it just passes through without being absorbed and broken down. Capstar at Amazon is cheaper than at the vets - imagine that! It does work but I'm not sure about a full 24 hours. The drop-on-the-neck flea control wears out before the month is done, every brand I've tried. I also tried the once a month flea pill and it quit working after 2 weeks. I also worried about something in my dog's system that was supposed to kill fleas for an entire month - how could that be good for him, other than killing fleas, that is. Great as an initial attack on fleas!:

I got this product because we suddenly had a flea infestation on both my cats and my chihuahua. It worked great to kill the adult fleas and started within about 2 hours. But I would VERY strongly recommend that you have a long term treatment immediately available. I bought a topical solution as well but it had not been delivered yet and the flea eggs already on my dog hatched in the meantime. My dog was COVERED in fleas the day after!
