[VHS] Babes In Toyland. Once a bright and cheerful community, Toyland is in great danger from the terible Barnaby (Mulligan) and his scary creatures who live in the forest of the night. They are trying to turn Toyland into a world without toys. The only person who can save Toyland is Lisa (Barrymore), a little girl from Cincinnati who lands in Toyland on Christmas Eve. But since Lisa, a very grown-up little girl, doesnt believe in toys, she needs special help from the wise but impish Toymaster (Morita), the dashing and gallant Jack Nimble (Reeves) and the mother-of-many-children Mrs Hubard (Brennan). Together they muster an army of toy soldiers and teddy bears to drive the villianious Barnaby and his nightmare creatures out of Toyland.

Good memories!:
I've been watching this movie since I was very young. Some of the stuff can be a little weird but it's imaginational! It always puts me in such a kid like mood when I watch it. Will definately pass it down.
So bad it's hilarious:
Out of my fondness for earlier versions of Babes in Toyland, I tried this one. My 11 year old daughter was with me, and at first we were put off by the horrendous acting, directing, writing, and production values, and then we began to find them funny. We watched the whole thing, and and had a great time making fun of it. We plan to keep our tape as a Christmas classic of popcorn camp. This is perhaps the worst made for tv christmas special ever broadcast. The acting in the claymation of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer merits an Oscar in comparison. How Keneau Reeves and Drew Barrymore put this behind themselves is the real question. Watch it only in 5 minute segments or your brain may explode.
