I'm not an experienced user of framing guns, but this things seems to work great. Although reconditioned, the tool looked like new.
Nails like it should...:
but the safety lock is impossible to switch... not at all like my finish nailer (from Dewalt). I have to keep something handy to apply leverage. Still a great deal though.
Good reliable looked brand new:
Bought this to make light work of a shed project. I must admit I buy tools as I need them and try to sell some or keep as necessary. I did this with a similar Portercable nailer. I thought I would never need it again. I should have kept the PC.
The dewalt is a little rough around the edges, but it never disappoints. I bought refurbished and it looked brand new.
Comparatively speaking the Dewalt seems less finely tuned as a PC, but still feels sturdy. As a do it yourselfer I buy Dewalt since... more info
Great Nailer:
I have put up a 12 x 12 shed with this nailer and it worked great. This is my first framing nailer so I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I do know that I had no problems with this unit. It is a reconditioned unit. It arrived in excellent shape and I am very happy with the quality especially when considering all the money I saved by purchasing a reconditioned unit. I highly recomend this unit.
