PURely Efficient at What it Does.:
What can I say about this pitcher? It's just simply fabulous to use and very simple to set up. I've just a PUR water faucet mount before and had been greatly impressed by how better it made my water quality (even though it had cracked over the year it still functioned ok); so I had no issues with purchasing another PUR, after my faucet mount kaput. Water leaks outside the filter:
I don't know what's going on at the QA department of PUR. I properly mounted the filter in the dispenser but unfiltered tap water leaks from the water reservoir into the main dispenser. Doesn't do what it's supposed to, which leaves me with a one star rating for the item.

Have had this product for 6 weeks and it works perfectly. It is easy to fill and place in refrigerator. Just put it in the sink and fill the top portion, put the lid on and slide it onto the refrigerator shelf. The spigot works great, we have had no spillage or problems of any type. The water tastes clean, and being in refrigerator is always cold. Suggest you measure your refrigerator and select space for it before you order it. Having read that PUR does a better job than Britta on purifying water (although I'm not knocking Britta), and being really tired of taking 3 or 4 gallon jugs of water home on the bus every week, I went for broke and bought the PUR DS-1800Z Two stage water dispenser (and the pitcher as well). The first time I drank (Washington DC area) tap water that had been filtered in this PUR Dispenser I knew I had made the right choice -- it tasted WONDERFUL and refreshing.
