For all I know this product works very well with compatible iPods so, to avoid unfairness, I award it 5 stars. However, the product information regarding compatibility is seriously incomplete. It says that this cable is compatible with, among other things, "iPod 3G." The nomenclature is confusing because there are several models that have a third generation. It works:
The product works perfectly as advertised and was shipped quickly and without hassle. A+ highly recommended.
Fire Wire:
It works just fine but after the fact I've seen it for considerably less on other sites.
Don't buy. Will Waste your money:
Most all iPods do not support fireWire transfers. It will only charge your iPod; nothing else. You won't be able to transfer songs or use your iPod in disk mode. I just wasted about 10 bucks to be disappointed!
