Canon CL51 is a high-capacity replacement color ink cartridge for select Canon Pixma photo printers. Specifically engineered by Canon, it employs several technologies that help make it and the Pixma printer series perform better than most competitors in its class. Canon CL-51 (cl51) is the genuine Canon color ink cartridge replacement/spare for Canon Pixma ip6210d, ip 6220d and mp450 multifunction photo printers
The CL-51 from Canon is a high-capacity color ink cartridge that delivers rich color for bright images and accurate skin tones. Compatible with Canon Pixma iP2200, iP6210D, iP6220D, MP150, MP170, and MP450 printers, the CL-51 uses ChromoLife100 technology to optimize print quality when used with genuine Canon photo papers. Cartridge is NOT compatible with MP210:
Be careful...Amazon's "Find your Printer" service on this page incorrectly lists that this cartridge is compatible with the Canon PIXMA MP210. It is not! Although my review is not about the cartridge per se, I give it one star to alert other of Amazon's faulty compatibility listing for this cartridge so you are not inconvenienced by their error.
CL-52 Ink Works and Looks Great:
I have a Canon Photo printer, Canon PIXMA iP6220D Photo Printer, that uses both the CL-51 (Canon CL-51 High-Capacity Color Ink Cartridge) and the CL-52 (Canon CL-52 Photo Ink Cartridge). I have used this for more than a year now, the ink dries fast, no smears, no clogging issues, they just work, and what more can you ask for from one of these. I print photographs and a few DVD labels on this, and would recommend this solution and this ink to anyone needing a quick, low expense solution.
I found out the error message light is just a warning, not the real thing:
Discovered that the MP160 error light warning about replacing Color ink cartridge is just a hint to get more ink. I did order more ink but delivery was delayed by the USPO. I was able to print for weeks after the inital warning. I will do that again, keep printing until it finally quits giving ink.
Does not work in Pixma printers:
Even though Cannon says this will work, it did not for us. Would not print black, would print all of the colors fine.
