It accepts bits ranging in diameter from 3/32 inch to 3/4 inch and works somewhat like an electric pencil sharpener: Tighten a dull drill bit into the removable chuck, then insert the chuck into the sharpener. Inside is a (replaceable) diamond wheel that quickly sharpens the bit tip. There are two preset positions for honing the two most common drill-bit tip angles: 118 degrees and 135 degrees.

As you sharpen, long jaws hold the bit precisely in place, and jaw guides eliminate jaw twisting on small bits. This secure alignment system ensures that you maintain accurate bit geometry and don't damage the integrity of your tools.Once the bit is sharpened, the Drill Doctor 750X gives you the option of making a unique BACK-CUT split-point bit that gives your bit an extra-narrow chisel point, making it faster to penetrate and less likely to wander on the material you are drilling in to.
Additionally, the drill point splitting port offers a "Push to Stop" design that will prevent over-splitting the bit point. The adjustable material take-off allows you to change the amount of bit material that is removed to accommodate large, broken bits or extend the life of small, precision tools.

We really like this newer Drill Doctor, seems easyer to use. We wore out the last one. Beleive this is a good sharpener for the money.
grinding wheel lasted for only 3 bits: 
I got tired of paying $30 per bit for 3/4in bit so I bought the DD750x, howver the grinding wheel lasted only 3 bits. Still cheaper than buying new large bits. Its probalby ok for small bits but not going to save you a ton of money as you will have to keep replacing the grinding wheels
A must have for wood workers: 
I build small furniture mostly out of oak. I have been buying new bits for every project I take on. The oak would eat up the bits in no time and start splintering the wood around the hole. I spent anywhere from $2 - $10 for a new bit every time. I thought that there had to be a better way. I found this online and figured I would try it. My wife bought me one for Christmas before I could buy it. I begged her into giving it to me early and just sharpened my first bit with it. I put a few holes into a scrap...more info
Nice Product:
Nice product, works well. Not quit as easy as a pencil sharpener but close. The enclosed video really made the directions clear. As a nice touch the manufactuer also included a $20 off coupon for a number of related products or accessories. I chose a replacement cutting wheel for this product.
