At a hair more than half an ounce, the sleek and stylish scala-500 is one of the smallest and lightest devices available, but it still offers up to nine hours of talk time. An integrated speaker booster provides substantially higher volume capacity than is common with other headsets. Plus, echo-canceling technology alleviates those annoying voice feedback loops that are common with lesser headsets. An exchangeable ear-loop and eye/sunglasses attachment lets you place the headset where it's most convenient, while handy controls on the device allow you to voice dial, as well as to answer, mute, reject, and transfer calls. A charging cradle ships with the scala-500, offering fast recharging of the headset's internal battery. A carry sleeve is included as well, letting you carry the scala-500 on your belt or around your neck. And last but not least, the scala-500 is Bluetooth 1.2 compliant.

Worth the money:

I purchased a black and pink scala 500 for my christmas 2006. I love using this headset. I always have trouble keeping the phone to my ear comfortably and this has been a great item. The sound quality is excellent on the headset end and I have not heard any complaints from the people I talk to on the headset. The easily adjustable earpiece is extremely comfortable on my ear and verry easy to get used to wearing. I would definitely buy another and would recommend this product to anyone.

Nearly perfect bluetooth headset.:

First off I'll go ahead and give the verdict on the Cardo Scala 500 BT headset: It's awesome.
Phones used: Palm Treo 650 and 700p
About 4 years ago I bought a Sony Ericsson cellphone which was too small for comfortable use and I bought my first bluetooth headset (a Jabra 250). Way better than the Moto500 for Nokia:

Right out of the box it worked great. I had to return the moto500 due to static and disconnecting every few minutes as well as volume issues
This Scala has excelletnt volume control, no static and works well with the Nokia 6301. It also comes with a belt clip, eye glass clip and laynard, all things you had to buy extra with Motorola.
As the person about said, much better fit when you bend the ear piece. On a side note, first day I the little pin that goes on the laynard fell off and is lost.
