I've been using the Scala 500 for YEARS! Here's why: After my first one broke, I decided to try several others. I bought a Motorola low-end one, and a Jabra high-end one, and a new Scala 500. I then paired each with my phone. I first paired the Scala - then I called home and left a message while parked at the side of the road. I then paired each of the others and did the same thing. Then I went driving with the air conditioner on, re-pairing the three and leaving new messages, identifying each at the start... more info

I looked at all the bluetooth devices before making this purchase. My wife and I have different needs, so I had to take a lot into consideration. I use mine a lot and my wife uses hers just when she's driving. Also, I have big ears and my wife has little ears. My wife wears glasses and I have hearing damage so I had to consider those factors too. I wasn't too concerned about price because most of the devices are around $50.
