The BML185 features a four-position head that pivots for greater versatility. The flashlight has high illumination, emitting high power at 4,500 Lux with a Xenon bulb for extra brightness. It will run for up four hours on an 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Battery (sold separately). The BML185 weighs just over two pounds (with battery, sold separately) with a compact design at 11-1/8 inches in length and an ergonomic shape that fits like a glove. nice flashlight:

i have had a couple of these flashlights in the past and they hold up well. i am in a pretty rugged working environment and the thing will take a beating plus the battery itself provides a nice base to set the light down while working.

love it only because it came with my tool set:

I was so sad to have this stolen from me because to buy it alone seems a waste. It is not that sturdy but is seemed almost as bright as a car headlight. Loved it when the power went out. Sigh! Don't know if I would pay 40 or so bucks for it though. May be if I can find it for more around 25, I think that is a fair price for the chincy make.

OK but not GREAT.:

Only bought because I already have extra batteries for my drills available. It is a bit flimsy for field use. It had not broken yet but I'm sure one good fall and it will. Light quality is very good. Adjustable head needs more defined detents [positions] it just "flops" down too easily. More substantial feel/weight for field use. Needs to be able to take numerous drops at 6'-10' for me to be able to recommend to the professional. My suggestion to Makita, have the folks who engineered/designed the current... more info
