This item is great. I purchased it to use with my kitchenaid mixer so I would have two bowls as I do a lot of cooking/baking and often need two bowls at a time. I have been very pleased with it and would recommend it anyone.
Heavy bowl, good handle, nice to have an extra:
This is a heavy steel bowl, like the one that comes with the heavier duty KitchenAid (I have a larger unit than the Artisan to handle rye bread dough, dense stuff that it is.) The extra bowl is pretty handy for doing a lot of cake batters like Genoise. Genoise is leavened solely by beaten egg whites, so an extra bowl to do the whites is very useful.
