Glad I got it...:
What I needed was a corded phone with which I could also use a headset. I bought the recommended Panasonic KX-TCA60 headset at the same time and they have worked perfectly together. I have a desk lamp, so the non-backlit readout is no problem for me. The keypad has a great feel and is easy to use. Not what I expected:
I purchaed this phone becasue I work from home, and use a headset that I wanted to plug into a corded phone, directly. I am currently using a headset/handset switch from Radio Shack to convert my current corded phone that does not have a jack built in, to accomodate a headset. The Panasonic TS620B is a good basic phone, but the battery only feature was an issue, as well as the fact that the display has no back light. The voice volume... more info
Panasonic phone:
I just realized I ordered black, but got white...not that it made that much difference, but black would have been nice on my desk. As for the phone, I like the features, which are easy to operate. I have a hard time hearing on most phones, and found this one to have good sound quality.I can hear better than most. Sometimes the volume is actually too loud for me. Like the speaker... more info
PANASONIC KX-TS620B:
While reviewing multiple phones, I saw the pluses and shortcomings on numberous models. Everything I've read on this model is true, but it serves my purpose for a home phone. I simply purchased a small light to see who is calling me late in the evening to address the most addressed issue in the reviews.
