I bought these bulbs to use in hanging pendant lights. The CFLs I had in the pendants were too long and hung out the bottom - just looked crappy. So I ordered these 'mini' lamps. Ha! Shame on me for believing 'mini' meant smaller. Not quite sure what Globe considers "mini" but these things are huge. They hung out of the pendant light further than the originals. I'll keep them because I can use them for some other fixtures. I ended up buying CFLs at Target - I think they're GE - much shorter and the pendants... more info
Terrible quality:
All bulbs flicker and make cracking sounds, even when left on for a long time.
Bright:
These are oversized light bulbs as compared to normal, but they are not monster size or anything. They are also brighter than the average spiral bulb. Price is pretty good. The part that you screw in the lamp is normal sized.

they burb out quickly at least when used in an upside down lamp, 3 burned out so far sylvanias keep going
