PS 160 12V Charger:
The first PS 160 I received lasted only one charge cycle. When I tried to charge my battery the second time the charger's red light did not come on and the battery did not charge. I returned the charger to the seller, Battery Jack Inc., for repalcement. The second PS 160 lasted only 10 minutes before failing, no red light, hot to the touch, and a strong electrial smell. I'll be returning this unit also and asking for my money back. Amazon really needs to investigate this issue and until the defective units... more info
Charged Up:
Originally This item came with a whole set, so I was exceptionally pleased that you could buy it separately because that is the only piece I needed to replace. It worked right out of the box Thank goodness I missed using my drill had to use my husbands a few times while waiting on this, so I was anxious. Be careful Not to drop.They are more fragile than you think. I think That's what happened to break mine in the first place.
Replacing Black & Decker Charger:
I am not happy that I had to replace the original battery charger considering that it has not been used very much to date, just for an occasional job around the house. It is also sad that I have a Black & Decker Firestorm 12V Cordless Drill that is for the most part obsolete now even though it is only a few years old. The reason I bought my replacement charger from Amazon is that I could not find any replacement parts for my drill at any of the major retail outlets. I will probably not buy another... more info
