The Vornado AVH2 Heater was featured on treehugger.com as one of the top three gadgets that can actually save you money! Vornado heaters use vortex action technology to fully circulate the warm air throughout the room. This is unlike most space heaters that heat the space directly in front of the unit with the heat immediately rising to the ceiling. The AVH2 uses automatic climate control which adjusts the heat output and fan speed higher or lower at all times to maintain the set temperature. This eliminates annoying hot and cold cycles where the heater shuts off allowing the room to cool and then turns back on to heat the room up again. This household heater is whisper-quiet and has advanced safety features to provide worry-free use.

This heater works great in my old drafty house! It really circulates the air and is very quiet!

I love this heater!:

This small space heater is very efficient and quiet. The plastic grill never overheats and so is safe to the touch. Also, the room gets nice and toasty without being hot and dry. I've had mine for a while now and although it may seem pricey, it's worth the price. I really do love my heater! :)

SOLD! - with many doubts at first waiting to see how long it last:

My home office space continues to be colder then remainder of the house. Needed something that would keep the warm air moving, quiet, safe and efficient. I have tried several forced air space heaters (and definitely some of those digital crap shoots) with an additional small fan to keep the air moving. After "blowing" through several space heaters and fans (fan motor in each always first to go) I was looking for a better alternative (safety first and overall comfort with added efficiency) - Found... more info

A heater that doesn't...:

I just received, and scheduled a return for this heater. Right out of the box it doesn't get above 80 degrees heat output (checked with an HVAC thermometer.) In comparison, I tested an old Lakewood heater, model 792/jr (http://www.amazon.com/Lakewood-792-JR-Forced-Utility/dp/B000BWNPRW) and the Lakewood easily reached 151 degrees heat output. The Vornado is a bit quieter than the Lakewood, but that's the only up-side.
