A great little invention!:
This Butter Boy idea is very handy for buttering your corn on the cob and my husband thought it was just GREAT! The little checkered tie does not stay on as it is made of just paper with an adhesive back. My suggestion to the maker of this item would be to make the little bandana or tie permanent by painting it on or making it part of the design when the plastic is made. Something that would stay on because it adds so much to the little fella being so cute!!! Maybe I'll paint one on my little naked... more info
A Complete Waste of Money:
Earlier reviewers were correct: a half stick of butter does not fit into this item! I don't know about west coast vs east coast sizing; if fact, this was the first time I have ever heard of that if it is indeed correct. I won't be using this again as I see no need to trim a standard-sized stick of butter to fit into this obviously poorly designed 'toy'!
We're loving the little butter boy:
A buttery treat for your corny corn, this butter holding boy makes sure that your corn is slathered with buttery goodness, but without a drop on your hands. This is the most amazing device ever. Great for wherever you use butter - my family likes burgers, steaks and pizza with butter, and the buttery boy just slides over them leaving dairy goodness wherever he goes. What a triumph! There's nothing better than that buttery delight when you need some, and with the butter boy lurking in the door of your fridge... more info
How do you get the cube of butter in??????:
The Butter Boy is a marvelous concept. It is so EASY to spread the butter on the ear of corn. You can keep it in your fridge to pull out at a moments notice. BUT, would it not have been MORE marvelous to make the butter well the same size as a cube of butter? It is a major pain to cut down the cube ("a little more off here, now just a little more off there") to get it to fit.
