insufficient controls:
There is no way to switch this off without disassembly. If protecting a garden in daily use then the unit is always on while the protection needed by me is at night. The addition of an off on switch would make this a good unit but without it it can only service areas not in use.
Dear Chaser NOT Too Effective:
The Deer Chaser product perfoms functionally per specification but is NOT effective at keeping the deer away from my flower beds and vegetable gardens as promoted. The light turns on and off when a motion is detected within the 25ft range and the radio works well on some of the 5 units that I purchased. A couple of them may be defective since the radio does not perform consistently in the same area where others work. Worked in a roundabout way:
The noise woke my folks who went to the window and saw the startled deer standing there, but they didn't move until my folks banged on the window and drove them away. So they do that a few times a week and the deer might be getting the message, lol. Too urban an area for simple lights and radio to scare them, but like I said .. it works in a roundabout way. Was worth buying and trying for sure!

This thing works! Last year the deer ate my garden off at the top of the ground over and over agian,but now there is not even one single deer track in my garden.
