I've never been much for light weights/high reps -- until the first time I did Jari's original workout, simply titled RIPPED! Then I was like, OMG, this really works! An endurance rotation (I go for three week rotations) was
exactly what my muscles needed to break through a plateau, so when I went back to my beloved heavy weights, I was better than ever.
All of Jari's workouts are THE BEST muscular endurance workouts I've ever done. Honestly. Of all of
them, SLIM & LEAN is my favorite. (Followed very extremely closely by GET RIPPED! 1000 -- the cardio
in that one is in short spurts, and so intense I couldn't possibly do any more -- gotta love that!) So
anway, here's Jari's take on SLIM & LEAN:
Get Ripped! Slim & Lean, takes what youve built in the first video and kicks it up 10 notches! Like
Ripped #1, the focus is on high reps and light weights to create definition, build lean muscle, and
burn calories. Weve added some new exercises and pumped up the intensity! The whole body
becomes lean, shaped, and toned. As in all the Ripped! videos, we demonstrate modifications so that
everyone can do this workout.

The quality of the video was not very good. The music was awful too. The concept is good, but I would not recommend this DVD.
I'm the odd man out:
I'm an avid home work out-er. I heard about Jari and figured I should give her a try since everyone is raving about her. I found this work out BORING. Don't get me wrong, it's hard, but the amount of the same set over and over I found very dull. I didn't think it was as hard as it was made out to be either. The main point is if it's a hard work out, I like to be distracted, and feel like the time flies so I'm not focusing on how terrible I feel. I felt like this work out dragged on and on. I love Jari but she shouldn't do Cardio:
My wife and I got this product after using the Chiseled DVD. We found that one to be challenging and effective. The pulsing and isolated body party segments really hit the mark. This DVD does a fairly good job in the weightlifting department as well. There are some different movements (i.e. hang clean and side lunges) that are nice variations. The issue I have are the cardio segments in between. 1.) They're not challenging 2.) they're not creative 3.) they're pretty annoying. What they do... more info
Outstanding workout!:
If you're already quite fit and want to take it to the next level, this workout is for you. Not a moment wasted, Jari makes you use muscles you didn't know you had. She really will take you from fit to ripped.
