NOISE ON TOYOTA PRIUS:
Toyota has a Technical Service Bulletin #AU-004-07 that covers noise from the audio system that occurs when a device is plugged into the auxiliary port on many of the 2006 and 2007 Toyota models. This would be a vehicle defect not a Griffin defect. I have not used this Griffin product but an earlier version of this product. After the TSB repair was performed, there was no more noise using the earlier Griffin product (firewire).
It works:
I bought this because it was less expensive than some others, but still seemed to have reasonable reviews. My unit works fine with my iPods. The connector to the iPod is a bit stiff, but not a problem. I'm happy with the charger.
not for iPhone WARNING:
Despite what the Amazon search results and categorization may make you think, the DOES NOT work with the iPhone
Don't buy this:
I bought this for charging my 5G Ipod in my Honda Element and it sucks!! It makes an annoying high-pitched sound the moment you connect it.
