Cuts the cheese!:
I really like this slicer. Unlike the old wire slicers, it cuts evenly and easiliy without bending or snagging.
Worst cheese plane ever:
This cheese plane does a terrible job slicing cheese. The cutting edge is useless and got dented within the first few days of owning it. Instead of cutting smoothly through firmer cheeses, it cuts then crumbles the far end of the cheese blocking the blade.
Great for kids!:
We love this slicer. The kids are motivated to eat cheese because they want to slice it and they love to try a new "number" to see if they like the cheese that way. We've found it very user friendly with all types of cheese. I purchased 3 as Christmas gifts and all 3 are getting lots of use.
Very Pleased:
I bought this a few months ago and am very happy with it. It works so much better than the cheese slicers with the wire. It slices different thicknesses and yes, at the end of the slice, it sometimes gets caught, but all in all I am very pleased with it. So much so, that I'm ordering 2 more for my daughters. I have always been happy with the Zyliss products I own.
