Motor is Broken:
Love the cute a versatile swing, and was aware that some have motor problems right off the bat, so I assembled it well in advance of our little one arriving. The motor appeared fine. When I put my little one in it, however, the motor completely crapped out. I will see what the manufacturer or retailer will do to replace the motor or the whole thing, but it's the last thing I want to do while looking after my newborn!

The Precious Planet swing I have (verified by product ID through Fisher Price) has no spot for an... more info
Fisher-Price Rainforest Open-Top Cradle Swing:
I love this swing more than my daughter! It is extremely easy to get her in and out. The plug-in feature saves tons on batteries. And it offers so much: different seat positions, swing-away mobile, and different music/sounds. It's great!

The music is alright, but my son prefers to listen to real music on the iPod anyway. I do like that the music stays on for a long time, unlike the old swing. The swing did swing a bit too far on the lowest setting when my son was a... more info
