Bulky, but it works just fine!:
The product works extremely well. I just wish they had enlisted an industrial designer with a little "Apple" sense - the dock is almost twice as big as it needs to be. I am therefore moving it out of sight, which should solve that problem while making it a touch more inaccessible for easy swapping of the mini-tuner to my car. The whole mini-tuner concept by XM is GREAT!
Works as promised:
This product worked as promised. It plugged directly into my reciever. Displayed all of the relevent information. It got excellent reception. No need to place the antenna in the window.
Probably not a bad product, but make sure you really need it:
I purchased the XM home docking kit and tuner under the impression I could use the tuner in a portable device as well as with my home stereo system. It turns out that most, if not all, of the portable devices out there already have a built in tuner and come with a home docking station. Therefore it only makes sense to purchase the home docking kit and tuner if you don't plan on buying a portable receiver. Good XM solution. Perfect antena:
I was looking for XM solution for my apartment and was afraid that I will need to run wire to window with south view. However it pickup signal in concrete apartment building very far from any windows. Just perfect.
