... anybody would really be here is if, tada! something is wrong with the original adapter that came with their Kindle. Yes, there are those who had their cats chew on it or lost it, but the others? And the fact that it is backordered with no definite date on when it might come in? Yes, until last night, I would have given it a five stars. I was one of the first on the Kindle Bandwagon and have been pretty much happy as a clam the way everything has gone so far. I do not twist my adapter into a knot... more info

Don't waste your time. This item is back-ordered so long that you will be able to use the 2nd generation Kindle before you recieve this adapter.

i love my kindle but lost my adapter somewhere along the way. i have a car charger but it was driving me crazy to have to charge it that way. i found it very easy to go to amazon and found they are for sale and ordered one right up. thanks for making it so easy.
Can you make it cat proof?:
The power cord does what it is supposed to do, which is supply power to the Kindle device to recharge the battery. For that I give it 5 stars.
However, my cat chewed my first cord just before I was leaving for a long trip, and that necessitated the old "fix it with duct tape" ploy. However, that didn't work very well. So I had to subtract a couple of stars for failure to foresee that many readers have cats.
If you could make the device cat proof, I and my Kindle would be eternally grateful!
