I like the ease of the usb cable. I am legally blind. I find the Kindle a miracle, for now I can read a book or listen to one. It is great having a device easy to carry. but easy to use. Downloading booxs from the store amd from [...].

It is like original (poorly designed) supplied cable but it should have a better method of winding itself up for storage. This and the power cord BOTH need a much better method to wind themselves up for storage. Amazon did not do us travelers any favors, by not have these two cords be better traveling companions. It would be very slick if they got redesigned to wind up for storage and had the ends overlap each other to make a very tidy and compact unit. So far it has been to Spain and Norway and I never want to be without it. It is all that I hoped for and I only use it for books. Someday I may go further but just wanted to get new books cheaper and instantly without leaving home. It works for me. Try the Kindle! I bought an extra cable to make sure I did not lose one and not be able to recharge it. It is also dual voltage which was important to me.
Kindle Service is top-notch and FANTASTIC:
My dogs managed to eat my USB cable and the wonderful folks at Kindle support sent one overnight at no charge.This is what I call great service and a great product from a great retailer!
