This machine is far more than we expected. It is very soothing and there are many variables. This has been a wonderful purchase for us.
Soothing music and light fountain:
Item is excellent however the rain drops as it were act as if they are clogging, which they are not. The water does evaporate rather quickly, but all in all if I were going to buy a fountain again, it would be this one.HoMedics Envirascape Gentle Rains Fountain

I have seen this in stores before for 50.00 I am pretty sure I got for someone about a year ago. I have been searching for it for a while, a friend got me one of those clocks that makes rain sounds but its not the same as real water.other reviewers have said its to loud I don't think so just make sure you place the pump all the way on the bottom and put the right amount of water to cover the pump. you can play the sounds at the same time as the rain if you wanted to.and yes its plastic as i read in another... more info

I personally have been using this fountain for three years now and PLEASE read the instruction manual PEOPLE! ( im only saying this because I know for a fact ppl did not do it correctly and made a bad review for their ignorance)You have to put the pump in the water for it to cycle the water back into the machine, once the pump is placed CORRECTLY you will hear no sounds of the pump. You also can control how fast you want the water to flow , which is wonderful. You may have slow flow which sounds like a slow... more info
